MVM invests in Wilson Therapeutics, AB

MVM co-leads financing of up to $40M in Wilson Therapeutics, AB (Wilson).

Wilson, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is a pharmaceutical company developing the orphan drug, WTX-101, to treat Wilson’s Disease.

Wilson’s Disease is a rare, life threatening condition caused by a genetic mutation which results in excess copper levels in the body, causing liver failure and brain and nerve degeneration.

WTX-101 already has a clinically differentiated profile, specifically avoiding the potential debilitating side effects of existing therapies.

Dr. Bali Muralidhar has joined the Wilson supervisory board.
